The project catered to 300 marginalized elementary and high school students from Barangays 110, 119, 120, and 105. These young beneficiaries received essential school supplies and support materials, ensuring they are better prepared for the upcoming academic year.
This initiative was made possible through the generous donations of ZCME members, who remain steadfast in their commitment to community upliftment and education-focused service.
Among the ZCME representatives present at the event were:
Stella Cabalatungan, Club Treasurer, Vikki Yu, Board Member and Head of the Service Committee, Teresa Tan, Head of the Brigada Ezkuwela 2025 Committee, Atty. Ina Magpale, ZCME Member and well-known program host of Tulfo in Action and Members of the ZCME staff.
The presence of these dedicated women underscored the club’s active involvement and leadership in local grassroots initiatives. Volunteers engaged directly with students, distributing supplies and sharing messages of encouragement and hope.
“This project is a cornerstone of our mission to serve and empower,” said Teresa Tan, who leads the service committee of this project “Every child deserves access to quality education, and we are honored to play a part in helping them take steps toward a brighter future.”
The Zonta Club of Makati and Environs has long been a champion of education, women’s empowerment, and community service. Brigada Ezkuwela is one of the club’s hallmark programs, embodying the Zonta spirit of service and solidarity.
As the day concluded with smiles, laughter, and gratitude, the event served as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when compassion meets commitment.
